The CV Series Protein Skimmers from Precision Marine Systems offer the benefits of both the counter-current protein skimmer and the venturi protein skimmer. A slower controlled flow of aquarium water throughout the reaction column, against the rising air bubbles maximizes water contact time, the attribute of the air-powered skimmer. An abundant quantity and consistent fine mist of air without the need for an air pump or airstones are the benefits of the venturi protein skimmer. Combining the attributes of these two designs allows the process of more water without compromising water contact time.

The only place air or ozone can escape from Precision Marine Systems' skimmer is through the vented drain. This enables the skimmer to become sealed and pressurized when coupled to our waste collector. This means no overflowing skimmers due to a misadjustment, change in tank load, or the addition of tank additives that can cause any skimmer to over foam. The ability to remove foul odors and/or harmful ozone gas (when used with ozone) with the waste collector's built-in carbon chamber is a unique feature.

The Urchin and Urchin Pro are new sump versions of the Remora skimmers.
These compact foam fractioners are best suited for smaller reef tanks or for
those with very limited under-cabinet space. As long as your sump water level is
under 12" the Urchins can be placed directly on the sump bottom with no
adjustment/raising necessary. This makes for instant set-up and hassle-free
